Coaching and Supervision

Professional support for teams and executives is one of our core competencies. When dealing with conflicts, tensions, insecurity and ambivalence, with role ambiguity or with regard to tasks and goals, external support can make a significant contribution to a more productive, satisfying and healthier work environment. In supporting our coachees and supervisees, we focus on strengthening their own resources and problem-solving skills. Our coaches and supervisors at Como have a solid base of many years of professional experience, work with the systemic and Gestalt approach and draw on further methods as needed, such as structural constellations according to SySt®, elements from agile organizational development and insights from group dynamics and team development.
Coaching

We understand coaching as a helpful “reflection partnership” (W. Looss) that offers the coachee a protected environment in which to work on professional concerns and challenges. Coaching is about becoming more aware of and examining one’s own behavior patterns in dealing with oneself and in contact with employees and colleagues. We support our clients in trying out new approaches and behaviors.

The goal is always to increase our clients’ ability to act and make decisions in a specific professional context. In particular, when coaching executives, topics such as dealing appropriately with employees, with areas of tension and paradoxes within one’s own organization, but also with career questions, professional alternatives and consciously dealing with one’s own areas of development and potential are in the foreground.

Supervision

We have found that new forms of collaboration, for example in hybrid teams, bring with them many challenges that can be addressed with the help of professional support. Before starting a supervision, we consider it important to have a clear contract with our clients. This can involve clarifying mutual expectations, recognizing and respecting boundaries, working on specific cases, taking a moment to reflect on and discuss roles within the team, or providing short-term crisis intervention. In fact, clients also come to us with the observation that “something is stuck in the system”. In such cases, we work together in the supervision process to identify which issues require attention in order to arrive at solutions.
